2025 Bearfootin’ Bear Reveal – Hendersonville, NC

The 2025 Bearfootin’ Bear Reveal took place on Wednesday, May 7, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Hendersonville Welcome Center Stage, located at 201 South Main Street in downtown Hendersonville. This annual event marked the grand unveiling of 20 uniquely decorated bear sculptures, each transformed by local artists and sponsored by community organizations for charitable causes.

Event Highlights:

Attendees, including members of the Hendersonville Woman’s Club and other community supporters, gathered in their organization shirts and jackets to show unity and support.

The public had the first opportunity to view the vibrant bear artworks up close before they were installed along Main Street for the summer and fall seasons.

The event celebrated local artistry and the spirit of giving, with each bear representing a partnership between artists, sponsors, and nonprofit organizations.

Charitable Impact:

Since its inception in 2003, the Bearfootin’ Art Walk has raised significant funds for both Downtown Hendersonville initiatives and a variety of local nonprofits.

Each bear will be auctioned in the fall, with proceeds split between the sponsoring nonprofit and downtown programs for bids up to $3,000, and 100% of higher bids going to the nonprofit.

The 2025 auction is scheduled for November 16, with all bidding conducted online or via text, culminating in an in-person celebration at the Historic Courthouse Plaza.

The Bear Reveal is a beloved Hendersonville tradition, drawing residents and visitors to celebrate public art and philanthropy.

After the reveal, many attendees continued their evening by dining together in downtown Hendersonville, further supporting local businesses.
